i felt like a new yorker the last 2 days because people stopped and asked me for directions - and i could help them!
but my classmates were making fun of me on the way to booze cruise yesterday because apparently i conversed to 2 random strangers on the subway (irish tourist and a mom with a really cute baby). apparently that made it “blatantly obvious i wasn’t from nyc”
Correct, no talking to strangers. As a matter of fact, most NYers don’t even like talking to their friends.
